Here’s our guides on making money via rackets and alcohol production. 2 of those in your screenshot above had me chuckle. In Empire of Sin, you build your criminal enterprise in a Prohibition-era Chicago through seedy businesses. I'm not sure its tied to smashing or swapping ownership of buildings.Īnyway, the main reason to build hotels in every district is to find out all of the jokes in the reviews. Tl dr I have no idea what's causing the bug(s). Only hostile takeovers were me against a minor faction in the early game to snowball. I am also fairly confident I never lost buildings there. At best, some derelict building might have been smashed in the early game and I converted it back into a racket later in the game but even that seems unlikely given I occupied like 19/57 rackets only (already had all potential customers). It's been a few days but I'm confident the one playthrough I used as an example for my bug report, was from the one district without any other major faction all game and I never lost/got any owned building smashed. The moment the AI begins to take back a racket or smashes one up the system breaks and starts counting them wrong and you get really weird results and nothing displayed correctly. I had 125/125 buildings prioritised over 250/250 buildings of the same type, I've had straight+full house prioritised over 5-of-a-kind+full house (the later of which would've generated substantially more income) and I've had a full house made of 2/1/1/1 or 2/2/1 instead of 3/2. ![]() That was also my interpretation of the design idea but I've noted different bugs and poor optimisation in my lengthy bug report thread. This glitch is random though and doesn't effect everyone.Īgain, the hotel isn't even counted as a racket for synergy and it just displays the list of what rackets you do have, it's also glitched and often doesn't display that you own a hotel on the neighborhood summary tab. The second glitch is that if you have rackets taken or smashed by other bosses and later recover them, the game sometimes forgets to count them as owned, it can be difficult to get the game to recognize that you re-own a racket unless you sell it and then buy the empty location. First is that it does not actually see the types of rackets correctly, you can see in this hotel image that synergy counts are not accurate by type:īut it's also obvious I would need 2 more pair to have them all. It's also very broken, and there's at least two major glitches that I'm aware of. To have every synergy you would need 21 rackets.Īlso note: the hotel and safehouse do not count towards these totals, only Speakeasy, Casino, Brothel and Brewery count as rackets and the straight only requires 4 (1 of each) If you look at your hotel it displays which ones are being used for each by name. ![]() So to have both 3 of a kind and full house you would need 8 rackets, two sets of 3 and 2 more. ![]()
